Identity and payments network for AI agents built on KYA (Know Your Agent) verification and token-based transactions.
Skyfire pairs verified agent identity with payments using three JWT token types — kya (identity), pay (payment), and combined kya-pay — that sellers verify via standard JWKS libraries. Buyer agents hold funded wallets topped up via debit/credit cards, ACH, international wires, or USDC, with per-agent spending limits and budget controls. Sellers publish APIs, MCP servers, or websites with their own pricing and can require individual or business identity verification before granting access.
Strengths
- Combines agent identity verification (KYA) and payment authorization in one token flow
- Per-agent spending limits and budget controls for buyers
- Sellers can gate services on verified identity tiers and monetize APIs, MCP servers, or websites
- Open KYAPay protocol underpins agent checkout and agent-to-agent transactions
Tradeoffs
- Both buyer and seller sides must integrate with the Skyfire network
- Fee structure and pricing are not publicly documented
- Younger vendor with a smaller ecosystem than Stripe or PayPal rails
